25 years ago today (8/14/00), Rage Against the Machine played a free protest concert in Los Angeles across the street from the Staples Center, where the Democratic National Convention was being held. The nine-song set featured two covers that included MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams” and Devo’s “Beautiful World” along with seven originals.
