30 Years Ago Today- Garbage Releases Self Titled Debut Album
30 years ago today (8/15/95), Garbage released their debut album that stood out in a changing rock scene that welcomed more female-fronted bands, and this one, led by the daring Shirley Manson, certainly was undeniably charming. The debut was equal parts alt-rock grit, electronic experimentation, trip-hop moodiness, and pop craftsmanship. Garbage was and still is comprised of Butch Vig (then fresh off producing Nirvana’s Nevermind), multi-instrumentalists Duke Erikson and Steve Marker. Check out Garbage live in 1996- full concert….
