30 years ago (11/6/95), Queen released Made in Heaven, its final LP with lead singer Freddie Mercury and pieced together from recordings made before Mercury’s 1991 death. It debuted at #1 in the UK, yet remains at the bottom with 1982’s dance-influenced Hot Space as Queen’s least popular album. Not a surprise, of course, but you have to give a hand to Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon for piecing together vocal and piano parts that Mercury recorded before his death and adding thoughtful instrumentation.
