50 years ago today (11/7/75), Guy Clark released his debut album Old No. 1. This debut wasn’t a commercial hit, but its influence was big as it became a blueprint for the Americana and “outlaw country” scenes as well as helped define the Texas singer-songwriter movement of the ‘70s.
