Happy 75th birthday today to Foreigner’s original drummer Dennis Elliott (born 8/18/50). Elliott’s drumming was a key element of Foreigner’s early sound and laid the foundation for tunes like “Feels Like the First Time,” “Hot Blooded,” “Double Vision,” and “Juke Box Hero.” Elltio remained with Foreigner through their classic run of multi-platinum albums in the late ’70s and ’80s, contributing to every record from the self-titled debut (1977) through Inside Information (1987). That makes him the only original member—other than Mick Jones—to appear on all of Foreigner’s big ’70s and ’80s albums. Watch Foreigner at the height of their AOR powers in 1981- full show
